
This course offers an introduction to sociological methods and data analysis. We will be exploring the relationships between sociological theory, research, and qualitative/quantitative evaluation of data. We will also be exploring the construction and use of analytical procedures and research techniques, such as participant observation and interviewing. A key goal for this course is to guide students in understanding and developing sociological research, as well as fostering critical thinking skills to analyze various research data. Mutual respect and civility are expected when taking this course.
