This is an introduction to Digital Photography course designed for students who wish to explore both the practical and aesthetic ideas and practices related to photography and apply those with the goal of collecting images that are representative of their experience in Rome and Italy. The technical and expressive characteristics of photography will be equally emphasized throughout the semester. Classes will be conducted in museums, churches, markets and other sites of interest. Students will be on assignment each week to do specific photographic exercises for homework. They will also be required sometimes to watch documentaries and films and do the assigned readings.  Each week students will make a selection of 5-10 images that they wish to share with the professor and the class
